Nicole started studying piano as a young child taking private instruction through college. She specializes in piano instruction.
In Massachusetts, Nicole taught privately and has been teaching students for 15 years. Her philosophy is a classical method – teaching music and piano with constant repetition in different ways through methods, theory games, and supplementary repertoire so that there is a well-rounded foundation in basic theory, sight-reading, and ear training allowing each student to benefit from their time at the piano lifelong, whether they pursue a professional music career, or simply enjoy listening to music
Nicole joined the staff at Doxa in 2015, and greatly enjoys both teaching and serving as the music director. She coordinates a department of 6 instructors and roughly 50 students, including two music recitals each year. She has enjoyed seeing her students go on to study for music degrees in college as well as playing music for their churches.
