
Marla Isaac studied music from the 6th grade until her junior year of undergraduate studies. She played the alto saxophone in concert band, jazz band, marching band, and vocal accompaniment. She earned the honor of performing in all region and all state ensembles throughout high school. She found her love of directing and teaching when earning the position of the Drum Major of Harmony Grove High School marching band. She sang in the choir throughout high school earning the honor of performing in all region and state choir. Marla earned a full scholarship and the honor of performing in the chamber chorale, concert choir, and opera workshop while at Henderson State University. She studied directly under Dr. William Higgins for vocal performance. Marla toured Germany and Austria, and multiple states performing with the Chamber Chorale and Opera representing Henderson State University from 2007-2009.
Marla completed her undergraduate studies at Henderson State University minoring in Vocal Education, Spanish, and majoring in Psychology. While with the Division of Children and Family Services, she was able to complete her Master of Social Work through Walden University. After many years in a clinical setting and field setting as a Social Worker, Marla and her family felt her being called to homeschool their youngest 3 children and open her nonprofit Pathway, Youth and Family Services. Pathway, YFS proudly serves the fostering community across the state of Arkansas. Marla’s first year as a homeschool parent, she taught High School choir through the Benton Homeschool Co-op and knew it was time to share her love of music once again.
Marla has been married for 10 years to her husband, Justin. They have 5 children, 3 of which are homeschooled: Chase, Emmalyn, Dezlee, Jemma and Maliyah. They attend Indian Springs Baptist Church in Bryant. Marla is so excited to teach children the beauty of the universal language, music.
