Kayleigh Richards began dancing at the age of 3. She continued dancing until age 10 when she began having migraines and couldn’t be in a class with loud music and tap shoes any longer. A few years later watching a dance recital the love for dance sparked again and she began taking tap, jazz, tumbling, and ballet. After a couple of years she began teaching and continued in the class room with littles up to adults. After 10 plus years of teaching, God called her overseas as a missionary and she was able to incorporate her love for dance to build connections with children and families to share the Gospel in hard to reach places. She traveled to 19 countries to share the love of Christ and was able to teach dance in local preschools, rooftops of buildings, dirt roads, grassy fields, and anywhere she found little kids. It was beautiful to watch what music and dance can do and how you don’t need words to always make friendships. She moved back to Benton and began fostering. This is where her love for dance grew again to teach these littles that God brought to her home in some of the scariest and most vulnerable times. She has a daughter and now gets to teach her class and watch her grow!
