Fostering The Arts is a non-profit organization that aims to provide arts education opportunities to foster children in the community. FTA also offers needs-based scholarships as well. To be able to offer this to the community FTA holds fundraisers to gain support to fund scholarships and free classes for those who qualify.

Any Doxa Arts Academy students 10 years old and up

Each ambassador is given a Candle Kit. Between October 15th and December 31st they would have a goal to sell all 8 candles. After selling the first 8 candles are sold they can request another Candle Kit.

You decide the time commitment for the campaign. There is no minimum amount of hours to fulfill. You may request to be removed from the campaign at any time. If you find your child needs to step away from the program you will be required to turn in any kit items in your possession and any funds raised.

How much you partner with your child depends on what works for your family. We ask that you at least help provide them with some basic opportunities to share about Fostering The Arts and the candle fundraiser.

Ideas for partnering with your child could be things such as posting their FTA Ambassador photo online with a link to the shop, helping them email or text friends and family.

We want the students to feel appreciated and recognized. We know volunteer work isn’t easy and recognition can be very fulfilling. At our spring recitals, Sweet Arts Ball, and at any community event where it is possible, we will call our ambassadors on stage and present them with something special.

Each candle kit includes 

• 8 candles boxed
• 1 laminated info price sheet
• 1 professional photo holding a candle for media campaign purposes
• 8 thank you cards for customers who have purchased a candle

Orders can be placed either online through our shop link, as well as in person with your child. Each ambassador will be given a personalized price sheet. The price sheet will have their ambassador photo with a quote from them about their volunteering. It will have all the information they need on the sheet as far as pricing, options, and what FTA is all about. 

Customers can pay via cash, check, or at the Doxa website shop.

Candles ordered in person can be delivered immediately to the customers in person. Candles ordered online through our shop can be shipped with an extra shipping fee.

Yes! If someone can only donate a few dollars we welcome their generosity.
