Kara Riley started her journey at Doxa Arts Academy in spring twenty-twenty six. Music has always been an important part of her life from a young age. She started playing piano at six years old, learning from great teachers and even teaching herself many techniques and several genres of music. One of her favorite things to do at the piano is think of a song and try to teach herself by ear, it allows so much creativity and active thinking skills. Piano was only a gateway into Kara’s experience with music. She was in band all through high school and played the trumpet. Kara was the drum major her senior year and also head jazz pianist. Both positions allowed her an insight to what leadership and teaching truly is. Kara graduated from Harmony Grove High School in spring twenty- twenty four and continued her path in Music Education at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. After a lot of hard work Kara has now received an Associates in Music Education, and plans to continue to receive her masters degree in music. Kara is very excited about going forward with Doxa Arts Academy, and sharing the gift of music with our students!
